Corsair launches Value Series power supplies

Corsair, a designer and supplier of components to the PC gaming hardware market, has announced the launch of the India-specific Value Series (VS) power supply units. VS PSUs are available in four different wattages: 350W, 450W, 550W, and 650W. As per a statement by the company, these PSUs are up to 85 percent more efficient and produce less noise as compared to traditional PSUs.

Corsair claims that with a 120mm fan, connectors and long cables, VS PSUs deliver excellent airflow. They come in black colour, the black cable sleeving and black connectors offer a large diameter, thermally controller fan, and are nearly silent when running at idle. These features contribute to the high energy-efficiency of up to 85 percent. The high efficiency also results in reduced heat, allowing the VS to operate in a silent mode until the PSU load reaches 40 percent of the maximum power rating.

M A Mannan, Country Manager - India at Corsair said, "Corsair is getting diversified from a Memory to the PC components and peripherals company. With the launch of the India specific memories few months back and now the Value Series PSUs, we are stretching towards more India specific product line. VS PSUs are made available at affordable price without compromising the world wide standards of Corsair."

The Corsair VS350 is available for Rs 2,499, Corsair VS450 for Rs 2,699, Corsair VS550 for Rs 3,499, and the Corsair VS650 for Rs 4,499. These products come with a warranty period of three years and are available ex-stock.

Earlier this month, Corsair had announced an updated version of the Hydro Series H60 liquid CPU cooler and the new Hydro Series H55 liquid CPU cooler. The Hydro Series H55 is an update to the Hydro Series H50, and is based on the latest, fourth generation cold-plate design. As per an official statement by the company, the updated version of the Hydro Series H60 makes good use of the latest cold plate, manifold, and fan technology to increase performance and reduce noise levels.

Corsair states that the Hydro Series H60 also utilises larger diameter tubing, which increases the coolant flow rate and performance. The new composite rubber tubing makes installation easier, but retains the low-evaporation rates of the older and more rigid tubing. Corsair claims the Hydro Series H60 also introduces a tool-free, magnetic mounting bracket, which makes it simple to select the correct motherboard socket format.

A high-quality fan designed specifically to move air through the fins of a liquid cooling radiator is an essential part of any liquid cooling system. The new H60includes a 120mm fan based on the Air Series SP120. This utilises a motor that has been specially tuned for high torque, ensuring static pressure, and high performance at low-noise levels. The Hydro Series H55 is designed to provide an upgrade from a basic CPU air cooler.

Both the Hydro Series H55 and Hydro Series H60 are compatible with most cases that feature a rear 120mm fan mount. Both support motherboards based on the Intel LGA115x/1366/2011 and AMD AM2/AM3/FM1 sockets.

Corsair H60 and H55 are available from Corsair's worldwide network and come with a five-year warranty.
